Perfect Fall Vandam Dress
My first Fall make 🍂This Burberry cotton has been hanging out in my stash for the last year since my mom gave it to me! One of those fabrics that just needed to “simmer” a bit before I had the vision of what to make from it.
Even though it’s still quite hot here, Fall fashions are in full swing on the streets and this lightweight cotton made up a perfect fall Vandam dress! I was a little short of fabric so I made the pockets and inner yoke in a neon yellow cotton – also from my stash! I love the pop of color.
This dress is hot off the sewing machine – now to style it up 😎
The Vandam is an easy fitting pullover dress and top featuring a full skirt with pockets gathered into a self lined yoke, bias neckband, arm flange, and a back zipper closure.
I used to love my penny loafers in the 90’s and how happy am I that they’re back 😁 so I styled my new Vandam dress with my penny loafers and short socks which with the black subtle stripe of the fabric and full skirt….is giving me school girl vibes. I like it!
Also, I have a pair of short boots that will be cute, too. And tall boots lol. What do you think of the penny loafer trend?
I made a reel while I made it – check it out below!
